Yadea Group Holdings Ltd., established in 2001, has evolved into a leading global manufacturer of electric two-wheeled vehicles, including electric bicycles, motorcycles, and scooters. 

In 2004, Yadea shifted its focus to electric vehicles, launching its first e-bike under the “Yadea” brand. This strategic move marked the company’s commitment to sustainable urban mobility solutions. Over the years, Yadea has expanded its product line to include high-performance electric motorcycles, e-mopeds, e-bikes, and kick e-scooters. Notably, Yadea has maintained the position of the world’s leading electric two-wheeler brand for eight consecutive years, reflecting its dedication to innovation and quality.  

Yadea’s growth shows with their impressive global sales figures producing a total of 16 million two-wheeled electric vehicles each year. This positions Yadea as the world’s largest electric motorbike manufacturer and the second-largest motorbike maker overall, after Honda.  

In their recent battery technology developments, Yadea has introduced electric scooters powered by lithium-free sodium-ion battery packs. These batteries can be charged to 80% capacity in just 15 minutes, offering a rapid charging solution. The company began presales of four such models in early 2025. With R&D innovation like this we hope to see these types of developments cross-over to their e-bike line-up.
